Frequently asked questions

Can I sublet my apartment in Texas?
Under Tex. Prop. Code § 91.005, a tenant may not sublet the premises during the lease term without the prior consent of the landlord.
Am I still responsible to my landlord after I sublet?
Yes. The original tenant stays responsible to the landlord for rent and all lease obligations unless the landlord releases them in writing. The Standard sublease makes the subtenant follow the master lease and ends automatically if the master lease ends.
What is the difference between the Standard and Professional Sublease Agreement?
The Standard edition is a complete, state-aware Sublease Agreement for common situations. The Professional edition adds longer clause coverage, schedules, and optional modules for more complex matters. You can preview either edition free before you pay.
